Gradings:
AB: Mostly sound knots, occasional black knots, knotholes are filled with natural knot plugs, filled knots, occasional pith ray, occasional resin pockets, no sapwood, slight compression wood and slight colour variations, jointfree gluing, yellow-orange colour, closely grained structure.
B: Black knots possible, colour variations and colour streaks are possible, resin pockets, occasional shakes professionally filled, knotholes are filled with natural knot plugs, slight compression wood, continuous pith ray possible, occasional sapwood, jointfree gluing.
Backing Standard: closed jointing, professionally filled with natural knot plugs, no blue-stain.
Backing C+: no special quality specifi cations, filled surface.
